Exploring Mt Wilson and Mt Tomah

Fall Colour in Mt WilsonI had a fair bit of Cav Sav last night. David always makes sure I get drunk soon :) and his choice of wine is super. Needless to say he has been tasting wine since he was a kid and maintains his own cellar! Anyway, it was time to leave Oberon. We waved the trout goodbye and meandered down the road — well actually up to Mt Victoria. The weather got very nippy and as we drove up the mountain it was really chilly again. It was another super autumn day, gentle sun lovely breeze until… how could you ask for more. We drove up to Mt Wilson from Oberon. The fascinating autumn colour seemed to have engufled that part of the mountains. It was COLD but so beautiful that for a moment when you realised the beauty around you the physical discomfort of being in the chill and strong breeze seemed unimportant. We spent a bit of time at Mt Wilson I did fair bit of photography and then hoped on the car again for our next destination down past the valley up again around another mountain — Mt Tomah.

Jenolan Caves – another exciting weekend away

Nasty scumbag — web design thief

While checking my logs on Sunday I came across a rather unusual incident and no it wasn’t a very pleasant one. http://www.hotbook.com.br had generated some traffic onto my site so I was curious to know what it was that brought people to karmakars.com.

On further investigation I found that someone over in Brazil presumably by the name Marcio Sgreccia> has copied my layout, blog text, graphics, CSS including old banner, well almost everything possible of the front page!!

12 Apostles – Great Ocean drive

UPDATE: I’ve made a photoset on flickr that would stream some of the images from our trip to Victoria

.

12 Apostles, VictoriaWe are back from a very exciting weekend away in the beautiful state of Victoria — the place to be! Ruth, Ian, Mum, Dad and I went down on Thursday night. We have been craving to visit the 12 Apostles down near Port Campbell, victoria for sometime now. Well, we finally made it! Unfortunately though, after leaving Sydney on Thursday night at about 2:00 am in the morning soon after we passed the small town of Yass in New South Wales our train engine developed problems and failed. Most were fast asleep. Ruth and I couldn’t get much of sleep and were wide awake and chatty. A little later after the taing had been stationary for a while went to see the train guard at about 1:30-ish am in the morning to request if the air-conditioning could be turned down. It was almost as freezing cold inside as outside! This was my first ever XPT ride on Countrylink. Fortunately though Country link arranged for buses to take us down to Melbourne. Once there we hired a car and soon we were off to Geelong, and down to Colac and then on to the most scenic Great Ocean Road. Wow, Victoria is breath taking!

I have a new look

My new lookWell almost! I decided to have number 1 cut, well number 2 and a bit more on the top and down to number 1 all the way at the back and the sides. Well that actually did happened last Thursday. Friday was our last work day at ATP otherwise known as Australian Technology Park as we are moving office and start back in St. Leonards were we were about four years back! Most of Thursday and Friday went in packing up our stuff. Exciting! Good news for me though… its easier to get to St Leonards from where I now live than ATP. :)
