Wouldn’t be so wonderful if people shared, recycled, gave away old books and computers and or IT related hardwares. So often I have seen bookshops like Dymocks, Borders, Angus and Robertson to name a few… who hoard old computer books in the sheer thought of getting every cent out of it? I just got back from Borders in Hornsby a couple of hours back. They have had the Dreamweaver 3 book in their computers section for the last few months now. Also the Microsoft Exchange 5.5. My suggestion is to discount old computer books and sell them off at a lower price for students or to who ever might be interested.

The BMW iPod Adapter, developed by Apple and BMW, provides seamless integration between an iPod and the car audio system in BMW’s 3 Series, Z4 Roadster, X3 and X5 Sports Activity Vehicles and MINI Cooper.
Drivers can control their iPod or iPod mini through their existing audio system and multi-function steering wheel which means no loss of power, no loss of sound quality and no loss of control.
I’m so excited with my new toys :)(: I have long been planning to buy my 20GB iPod but it just didn’t happen until last Wedensday. It is one fine piece of music player in fact it is the best in the market. Nothing beats it to-date. The other reason why I was so happy was also because it was my first ever buy in the mac line of things. I do have a lot of respect for anything Apple. Apples are luscious — remember Eve! Yes they are expensive, there are fewer software available. Their products are aesthetically superior, software are robust, design and product architecture is top of the range. My next major computer buy probably will be a mac. Bit fed up and tired of Windows constant catching up on security patches, even Longhorne doesn’t do it for me!
Over the last weekend I burnt the midnight oil to give (Nancy) a “little surprise“. She gives herself so selflessly for Rotary and for that matter almost anything that needs a helping hand. In the last few weeks she even took up a Dreamweaver MX course to get up and running with site maintenance/creation. Nan even started on a site up for Maysville Rotary! (I wasn’t aware of this earlier). I really admire her zeal to learn, her thirst for knowledge, there is no stopping when you get her going.
I didn’t know Nan had aready bought a domain, and hosting and even done a good amount of Dreamweaver work in getting a basic site together for her Maysville Rotary Club. She even taught herself a little flash and spent time trying things out and worked out how to create Flash Buttons in Dreamweaver. If this is not giving selflessly what is! She neither needs to do a site for Rotary nor go out of her way to help needy souls — especially when there is so much to be done, pressing needs that screem for attention. But amongst all the hustle and bustle of life she did.

Monday was short, rushed and very busy in among all other things. We drove to work instead of taking the trains. Sydney has an excellent Public transport system, Although the trains at times can be a bit erratic still over all Sydney’s Public Transportion system is one of the best the world over. Many say this who have travelled around a bit.
We got up very early next morning and after finishing the last minute packing we drove down to the International airport. Mum and Dad were leaving. We have had them for the last two months and travelled a lot and spent a lot of time together… they could have extended their stay by another month but they had to be back as dad had commitments earlier in the week back home. We had Oporto for breakfast overlooking the myriads of aircrafts land and take off. And soon it was time to say our goodbyes. They were off to Singapore and then onto Calcutta. They were just lucky the lady at the check-in for Singapore Airlines allowed an extra 10 Kilos!! Wow. Time I learnt to talk like a Gemini, yes well dad is one! And of course he also made the most of his dutyfree at Singapore.
Last weekend we wandered off to the wine country of New South Wales — Cessnock up in Hunter Valley. The weather was beautiful and clear blue skies although the mercury has been dipping to 2-3 degree C in the night. I was rushing a bit before leaving and for the first time ever I forgot to take my camera with me! Yes that is right! We were well on the freeway when I remembered it and just didn’t want to turn back. Dad had forgotten to bring his rechargable batteries too so Ruth’s camera was our only hope. In fact Ruth took some great photos. Sometimes its a lot more convenient to have a point and shoot rather than carting a heavy EOS around.
