Tasmania Group Pool in flickr

Lighthouse At Davenport, TasmaniaFinally I decided to start a Flickr Group for Tasmanaia. I have loads of photos from my trip to Tasmania and there wasn’t another that showed much of Tasmania.

Please join the group and comment away (nicely :-) and if you have photos from Tasmania by all means add ‘em to the pool. This would also be a place where I can hopefully bring about some awareness of the huge logging that goes on in Tasmania. Almost unnoticed! Maybe, just maybe, people will think twice before they go falling trees of the world heritage area down-under!

I bought Xylescope yesterday. I’ve been playing with the previous version a bit and its very handy tool for an web developer/ designer on mac. In fact I will go a step further to say it will save you an awful lot of time using Xylescope! Below is a screengrab of one of my gallery pages. On selecting on one of the thumbnail (backlit leaf) you will notice how the hierarchial navigation, HTML view, CSS view and Selector view are all exposed in the one pane!

Weekend away at Central Coast, NSW

Harry, Kevin and I headed off to Toukley, Central coast on Saturday morning. Despite the threatening cloudy skies and light drizzle around Hornsby it cleared up a lot as we drove along. By the time we reached Canton beach it was a nearly clear sky. Wow what a change but chill as! Even during the day. Harry had booked in a Caravan park. Well, must admit I was NOT impressed! I’ve never stayed in a caravan Park, Eeeww! And dislike the very idea. Well this was a 3 star chalet. Phew! Right at the edge of the beach, Serene. Calm. Overlooking the black swans and huge pelicans drifting by and the sails afloat! Harry was forgiven!

Life of Pi – Yann Martel

photo of the book Life of Pi…and it is making me bleed with passion, delirious with admiration, sad with sorrow, frightened of the bleaky unknown and carried away with a million unworded emotions that gnaw, stifle, and lacerate me unceasing! There is joy, elation, at times estatic and there is that emptiness in the stomach that makes me squeamish and queasy and weak at my knees. What a graceful journey! What an intense masterpiece. Charismatic!
