MU 1.0 and bbPress

This is something I’ve wanted WordPress to do right out of the box, and now that they have it sorted, its definitely worth a mention. Well done Matt and team. I can already see Harvard and Edublog has already take up the offer. Visit the links and have a look at the FAQ’s. This is a big blow to the already dying Movable Type.

Ordered a macbook!

YAY, the day started on a bright note. Hopefully not too long before I get my macbook so I can write ‘gushing’ blogs… :) and get on with my life… Windows is hideous. Its nasty! Repeat after me. 5 times. (Nasty!)5 … Soon I’ll have my sanity back. David’s cooking some yummy suprise dinner for which he had to go somewhere special to get all the ingredients… yumm food (rolls belly)… and then we’re headed off to see Toni Collette, in Little Miss Sunshine with chocotop in hand. Damn! I just dribbled! *Wipes drool*…

PowerBook in Mac heaven. RIP

Over the last few years… I have used my mac to the fullest… at least 15 hours a day most days, if not more… dragged it through the dry arid Death Valley in Nevada, to the chilling snows of Yosemite, a few road trips, outings, roughly 16 flights and about 5 of those where I couldn’t take it on board with me (American Eagle, and United flights)… everyday to work and back, on the train, the bus, the beach, the mountains… its gone with me almost everywhere. And now… after all these loving tender moments… the Toshiba HardDrive that Apple used for my PowerBook wouldn’t mount. It has what is technically called: a S.M.A.R.T. failure… after I ran my last program Onyx!

An Inconvenient Truth

UPDATE: 8th January 2007 What happened to winter on the Northern Hemisphere in December 2006 and summer in Australia? Is this proof enough? There are simple things you can do to make a huge change. Try these very easy 10 things (PDF, size: 1MB)

Based on the climate pattern changes that are occuring lately An Inconvenient Truth is a masterpiece. Film directed by Davis Guggenheim, featuring Al Gore, is a eye opener. Based on years of study, scientific calculation from data collected across the globe, endeavouring scientific knowledge, accurate understanding of climate change and photographic proof from Earth and space (outside Earth’s atmosphere) …An Inconvenient Truth offer raw, biting truth of how we can choke ourselves in rising smog quite possibly just over a decade from now if we didn’t start acting on issues today. We are in fact very rapidly reaching a tipping point. A point of no return :-(.

Devil wears Prada

logo of the movie devil wears prada, it shows a red stileto with the base as a devils pitchfork Having had a great experience(NOT) watching ‘John Tucker must die’ we’re a tad paranoid of going the movies on a Friday night. Its not quite a Friday just yet but close enough! We’re going to watch Devil wears Prada tonight and hopefully, it’d be a little entertaining, if anything. Having said that Meryl Strip is not really my kind of goddess but needless it should be fun as we are watching it in the company of good friends and like I said before hopefully, the theatre will not be filled with rug-rats popping off champagne streamers, screaming their guts off, walking about while the movie is on or even point Laser guns on the screen up someones nostrils… do people really do that in the movie theatres…. well, apparently they did seem to one Friday evening at Greater Union when we watched John Tucker must Die. Up here in country Hornsby (lovingly Hornsberry) its a whole new world at the movies on Friday nights!)
