A quick visit to India

Time flies by way too quick when you’re having fun. And that would precisely explain what I’ve been up to lately. Loads of fun. I also had a great opportunity to visit mum and dad during the Diwali — the festival of light and spend some quality time in India with them. Though it was a relatively short visit and time flew by so quick, the few days in India sure were a trip down my memory lane of familiar smells, tastes, sounds and everything in-between.

On my way up to Singapore I kicked back and put my feet up with the recent New York Times Bestseller ‘Skinny Bitch‘ only to realise I wouldn’t have have enough time to read… somehow I’ve always had the good fortune to meet amazingly interesting people when travelling alone… and there, I bumped into Belinda and the next eight hours to Singapore disappeared in thin air of non-stop high altitude symbiosis, … We chatted the whole time through; drank, got drunk, shopped and off the plane we had hot coffee and yummy pretzels before we went different ways. She was headed to Malé and me to Kolkata (Calcutta).

My travel to India was a breeze and I got in the swing of things rather easy but to get back to it all when coming back to Sydney it did take a while. I look forward to writing my experience in more detail during the year end break.

We get very nostalgic feeling when we tread the path of yesteryears. We like to see where we were and what the place has become. We also like to show our present relations about places where we have grown. It’s something like visiting your old home. I know how you felt on your visit to India. Next time visit Pune where you used to live and we use to have great time.

Rudra: I so would have loved to visit Pune last time around but time doesn’t always work to our advantage. I surely hope we visit Pune next time and Goa is top on the list.
