I have always loved Black and White(B/W) photos but don’t seem to do it enough. Maybe 2010 will be a year of more B/W for me. There is a lot of joy in a good B/W and the clarity it can offer right out the camera. In my humble opinion a well composed B/W shot often beats its colour competitor hands down! Not to mention it brings forth the mood of the frame much more easily– hence we see a lot more monotone and duo-tones imagery for moody settings.

Here I’ve put together both versions of the same photo. Which one is your favourite? Personally, I’d go with the B/W even though the colour one is alright, don’t you think?
