Autumn 2008

UPDATE: Oops! The slideshow is not working at the moment as I have changed a few things around but will be back before you know it. Thanks for your patience.

We have been lucky to escape the Aussie summer this year as we’re in Europe for what is usually the worst sultry part of the summer in Australia — end of January and February. But as luck would have it even though we officially entered Autumn on the 1st of March 2008 we had a few rather humid and somewhat stifling days in March, possibly making up for what we had tried to escape…

Luckily though the weather is starting to cool down and the leaves turning colour. Its such a beautiful time of the year. Autumn feels more fulfilling when weekends are absolutely glorious. Lovely weather, clear blue skies, barbie in the backyard, company of friends and loved ones… the feel good feel of oncoming winter, soft sunlight kissing your back and a very soft gentle breeze that carries the lovely smells of garnish and fresh herbs from across the neighbours patio… Oh how I love Autumn. Weekends like these are even more special… Easter long weekend — four days in a row basking in the gentleness of sun, sand and laughter. Oh how I love autumn.
