a thumbnail image of the book: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, written by Mark HaddonJust got back from another very interesting WebStandardsGroup meeting. Today’s topic was about helping understand and improve Cognitive disabilities and learning difficulties. Roger Hudson and Russ Weakley made their presentions. Following the very interesting topic that is rather close to my heart… I decided to do some test from todays pearl of wisdom. Here are the results:

Karmakars.com

  • Gunning Fog index — 7.19
  • Flesch Reading Ease — 67.27

I quickly did a few more comparisions to see where my results stand. The results are interesting! I have to do more research. Read up more at Gez Lemon’s Juicy Studio site. You may like to read up more on Readability tests and Benefits of IT pages.

Roger Hudson also suggested the following, so if you can grab this book it would be excellent.

The book is not about accessibility, but is a really good novel that gives the reader an insight into what it might be like to have a cognitive disability and be a parent of someone with autism.
