Flock Developer Preview is now available. Go on give it a whirl. I love it already. Yes well I’m easy pleased BUT if you are anything like me and like technology ( I think ‘geek’ is over-rated) you’d know what I mean. Head on over and have a muck around.
But! This preview ain’t for the faint of heart! If you’re the bleeding-edge type and don’t mind a few scrapes and busted knees from time to time, feel free to give it a whirl.
We’ve got interesting ideas in this thing. We want to know what we’ve done right how we could improve. And we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us!

I’ve been playing with it for a couple of days now, and have to say it doesn’t really blow my skirt up. The integrated blogging tool is kinda nice (but editing doesn’t work for me), and I’m still not sold on the delicious and Flickr stuff in it yet… will keep playing and see if it grows on me.
Right now, I’m still sticking with Safari as my primary browser, though.
Ummm…. I have only started playing with it since last night so will hold my horses but it does seem groovy, trouble is I’m way too accustomed to Safari too. But tell you what its light-weight and so fast. Sure enough not all the things seem to work right yet as its a preview version only. But I’m hopeful this will be a good option for a lot of people out there. No?
I’ve only recently started playing with Mac’s since I bought an iMac G5 a couple of months ago and have been playing round with both Safari and Firefox (as well as Camino, although I haven’t really noticed that much difference between Firefox and Camino and they are both Mozilla products). I have just downloaded Flock and haven’t really had too much of a look.
I have come from a windows and linux background and have mainly used the Mozilla based products on the Doze platform. Don’t mind trying new things. I have kinda fallen for Safari as a browser. It is such a smooth design and does most things well. I am also impressed by the OSX. Definitely the best implemented OS that has its basis in Unix, and far better than Doze in my opinion.
I’ve seen alot of talk about this FLOCK browser on many blogs I frequent. I dont know about everyone else, but Im fine with Mozilla Firefox. It does the job for me.
Andrew, welcome to the amazing world of Macs
You wouldn’t regret your decision made. I think we should get Ruth to set you up with a blog and flickr account and all the other assorted web addictions that come with it. We should catch up on iChat sometime
Firefox is good but so dry
If you have tried Safari and Camino (which is blazing fast) do try Omniweb. Browsers on mac are just amazing! You might like some of the links from there
Trench, yes indeed FF is good but Flock probably is going to go a few steps further than a regular browser does.
