“A hundredth of a second here, a hundredth of a second there — even if you put them end to end, they still only add up to one, two, perhaps three seconds, snatched from eternity.”
- Robert Doisneau

Yesterday afternoon, we had overcast skies in most parts of Sydney and soon there were some drizzle that stayed off and on and gushty southerlies bringing the humidity down to normal and making it much cooler everywhere. At about eight in the evening just as the sun was about to set, overcast skies cleared in spots and gave in to a very resplendant gold vermillion evening display. The threatening nimbus blew past on high and the low layered cumulus clouds so incredibly low that you could almost touch. They morphed, and mingled with surrounding clouds and often revealed unpainted spots in the sky where the vibrant sunset rays passed through. There is nothing, really nothing quite as beautiful as nature.

That’s a great shot, Amit! Love the colours and composition. What sort of processing did you do to it?
Thanks Cam, very little process on this one other than cropping, and bordering. It went through a 17-40 L series lens with a Hoya Circular polariser
*.Cool
We do have some amazing sunsets around here. Yesterday was a weird one (7th Feb), it added a orange/red tinge to everything… looked as though we had a red sky…
I’ve made a 5 swatch palette out of that and added it to my collection
MAGNIFICENT! Looks like a burning sky….. you really have great talent!
It looks like a roaring sea in the sky. Brilliant!!
