Measuremap invitation

Thank you Jeff. I am totally delighted to have received this little surprise email just about five minutes back YAY! Since I’ve only just set it up it wouldn’t show much stats to start with. I am looking forward to have a play with it. The entire Measuremap user-interface is AJAX driven. Sweet as! Wow! And it loads very fast! I hope to have a few screengrabs up for you here.

Measuremap is still at a pretty early stage in its development. And yet so charmingly good. There are lots of features to explore and i cannot wait. 24 hrs is just not enough in a day is it?

  1. That looks very interesting and is a novel way of presenting the information that most of us have been collecting. Of course, until I get my invitation I won’t know if it’s of any use.

  2. You’re such a tease :P

It’s ok that Measuremap is addictive because I’ve got an addictive personality anyway.

  3. Hi there! Three years have passed already and Measure Map is still in beta! :-( I’ve emailed Jeff and got no reply – perhaps YOU could send me an invitation? Please! I’m starting a new blog and would be delighted to try it out!

  4. Feabionsu, shame measuremap had a lot of potential but it has remained in alpha for more than 4 years I think. I did write Jeff at one stage asking where it was up to. I did get a reply and Jeff mentioned that they were working on it… but havent heard anything whatsoever.

In the mean time if you havent installed any analytics tool I’d say why don’t you give Google Analytics a try. Its free and the BEST one around. As far as I can tell anyway. All you need is a Google Account(Gmail account) to get started. And the details it pulls through is amazing and meticulous. Worth a try if you haven’t.

  5. Yes, I am currently using Google Analytics, and I have to agree with you that it is one of the best free statistics tools around. I’ve also tried StatCounter, which was pretty awesome too, but didn’t give the same detail as Google Analytics. Not to mention, I already have a Gmail (which automatically gives me a Google account) so I didn’t even have to sign up for it. :-)

Still, I do wish they would finish developement and release Measure Map to the public. I heard Google bought it a long while back – could that have somehow influenced Measure Map? I mean, they already have Analytics, it seems weird they wanted Measure Map. Oh well, I guess they wanted to eleminate a good competitor before it even started! :-(
