Ming-Mang’s tomb – Hue, Vietnam

Ming-Mangs tomb in HueBefore I embark on writing another personal anecdotal sojourn I had better warned my readers that this might well be yet another unfinished write up… given the fact there are only twenty four measly hours of which I usually sleep seven, work eight, travel two, eat, rest and mac-about… there is not enough time to do much. I’m lagging behind in keeping up my site looking pretty and posting photos I’ve recently shot in Viêtnam and Brunei.

Trust me, I’ll get around to it… until then, here is a pic of Ming Mang’s tomb, which was about twelve kilometers off the main city of Hue, by boat this takes a long time but is a very tranquil journey. An almost utopian spot away from all the hustle and bustle of the imperial Hue. The three red gates lead to the honour courtyard, and further up the lake of Impeccable clarity there is this inspiring pavilion right at the top. A good spot indeed to stop and take in the atmosphere.

  1. Hi John, we did visit Halong Bay and was on the jewel of the bay. It was a tremendous experience. Seeing those photos on your site I could tell exactly where they were taken. Vietnam is amazing!
