This morning we decided to visit North Head, Manly — the northern foreshore of Greater Sydney. It was a long drive as I took a few a wrong turn, after all it is the weekend and the roads are bustling with people, cars and not to mention the regular beach goers. I have been on holidays since Wednesday so doesn’t quite feel like a Saturday but still you know what I mean. Manly seemed a lot busiers that before and the nudy rudies were all over the place. Manly truly is a great place for kids and family and the good ole ‘Fish ‘n Chips’.
Walk along the Manly North Head trail
As we walked around the Manly North Head trail I took some photos, made sure the flash was on where needed. The 550EX is a killer! How did I survive without it for so long!! Finally, when we got to the cliff we stayed there a bit looking down below on the waves breaking against the base of the cliff. The sea down below is deep marine colour but as the waves come in they crach and diffuse with the underlying rocky bottom of the beach. All of this happens underwater. This continuous profuse battering and breaking of the waves on the rocky cliff creates some very beautiful and absolutely stunning colours in the aqua to deep sea blue colour range — totally capitvating. And the water patterns you get to see as they break upon the rocks is yet another beauty. Nature truly is so majestic! The first picture on top is a 100% crop(without magnification) of the image I shot. The image below is part of the full frame I shot.

I like the top cropped one - gets the imagination going.
That is true Ruth, there is so much beauty in simple things in life. Never stops amazing me.
