Planting bulbs all the way

Mum, Dad and I spent a fair bit of time planting bulbs I had bought somedays back. Autumn is the right time to plant your bulbs in if you care for plants and flowers in particular. Mary-Anne and I had bought a fair bit of ‘em from J N Hankcock & Co. We have gone through few pots of Fressias, white, creamy white, scented ones, coloured, double coloured, tall mixed tyes, Nerines, white, red, pinking red, wine red, Daffodils, pink laces, white, mixed… oh there is a lot of variety and to add to that I even got a Ctenanthe — an evergreen photosensitive foliage, and all this commotion as Chumki quietly and leisurely watched us working in the garden. She is not allowed to go out. The moggy neighbours cat is all out to get her and frequents our driveway way too often. We have moved some furniture around the lounge area and few pots and plants too — it looks awesome :) ofcourse, Ian and I just don’t have a formal degree in interior decoration is all. But that doesn’t stop us…

A little confession

I seem to be getting keen on a Golden Retriever puppy or even a Labrador Retriever. I’ve been reading a lot about dog temperaments and ofcourse breeds and alfa and obedience… gee there sure is a lot to it… no, no I still love Chumki — although, she can be a demanding little princess sometimes.

    Alright now, just because I am busy a few days with this wedding here you go a start thinking about dogs???…..i say NO..you can’t bring him to USA when you come for a visit which means bording or trying to find someone to babysit him…OH MY, I am being selfish aren’t I?..how about waiting???…LOL

    :) Well that is true Nan how about we bring her over?? Make sure you dont sell your present house we would have enough room. Plus Josh’s room now that he is with his girlfriend and then again… think of all the extra attention you will get when you visit us in Australia? :) By the way a bitch is better I read — even in the pet world males are disgraceful! LOL. They pee around a lot and mark territory.

    I want to put in a plug for Miniature Schnauzers. They are smart, fiesty, and don’t shed.

    Miriam, Miniature Schnauzers are cute!! They say that Schnauzers are a mixture of Affenpinschers and Poodles! I certainly do like the intelligence of Poodles but not sure I generally like the look of ‘em though. Scnnauzers are great though and look real nice.

    Retrievers are wonderful gentle playful dogs — this for someone who isn’t a dog lover — who get REALLY BIG!!!!! and need LOTS of room to run and jump….hehehehehehe…..the miniture suggestion has some merit.
