Last Sunday I took part in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk 2010 at The Rocks, in Sydney. This was my first ever randezvous with a group of photographers, hobbyist, amateurs and semi-pros alike. The Worldwide Photowalk is a social photography event where photographers get together to walk around and shoot photos and have fun. And it sure was and its good to mingle with people who have similar hobbies and interests. The only challenge if any was to find time to chat and concentrate on decent photography at the same time. Not easy! :) Despite BOMs predictions the weather turned out to be fine and the clouds cleared up and had the sun come out in all its glory. I remember walking along the Bennelong point felt quite warm, probably also because i was lugging all that gear and had a thick jacket on. We didn’t quite have the perfect blue skies that sunny Sydney normally does but the clouds sure did add their touch of character to the winter blue. I came back having met some nice people and a fair bit of camera chat with all my budding gear questions that I always seem to have. Here are some photos I took. As you can probably tell, they were all quick and hurried shots.

I love the shadows in this photos. The tree in the centre is like one gigantic life-giver making the place around it beautiful. Its almost like a frame from the movie ‘Forrest Gump‘ I can hear: “Run Forrest Run”.

At this stage we were on the last leg of the walk towards Sebel Pier one.

There is more here in case you want to consider joining up for next years Worldwide Photowalk. It was a fun thing to do.
