Sony Ericsson k608i

UPDATE: YAY! I have my new phone now!
Woo-hoo! click click ring ring!

Sony Ericsson phoneAfter 13 months of experimentation with Motorola A925 I have decided to move on for obvious reasons…. Motorola A925 doesnt quite cut it for me. I am getting the brand spanking new Sony Ericsson k608i. It is the smallest and lightest 3G video mobile to date. Gawd that alone would be such a change cause I am so used to carrying my A925 brick-o-bile everywhere.

The K608i is our smallest and lightest 3G video mobile it has a powerful 1.3 megapixel camera that lets you take pics good enough to frame. Why not treat your mobile just like a digital camera with portrait and landscape shots. Plus the night torch setting lets you shoot your pics day or night. Then when you have the photos- share your favourite pics via MMS, Email or set up your own album with Kodak Mobile on Planet 3 or even wirelessly transfer pics to your PC with Bluetooth™! The K608i even has an MP3 Player so you can listen to your favourite track.

Well you can use your K608i with Mac OS X. You can use it as a modem for internet connection.

The only software that will sync mac OS X to k608i is Blue Phone Elite which comes at US$ 20.00.

actually Apple’s isync software works fine with my K608i for contacts and calendar. I still haven’t figured out what to do about photos yet though.

The K608i works fantastically with OSX! Contacts and calendars are synced perfectly. And if you want to get your photos off, put photos on, add themes or sounds, or anything else you can think of, it is simple to browse the device with Bluetooth. Why all this talk of “not compatible with OSX”?

Dustroom, I had posted that article nearly 12 months back when it didn’t quite support OS X. Its glad to know that has changed since, yes it does sync now. As a matter of fact when I bought mine the package only included a CD for windows. One always pays a price buying things when they are very new in the market.
And for those wanting to create themes here is a good little link to myTheme Creator that allows custom theme creation for Sony Ericsson phones.
