Tasmania Group Pool in flickr

Lighthouse At Davenport, TasmaniaFinally I decided to start a Flickr Group for Tasmanaia. I have loads of photos from my trip to Tasmania and there wasn’t another that showed much of Tasmania.

Please join the group and comment away (nicely :-) and if you have photos from Tasmania by all means add ‘em to the pool. This would also be a place where I can hopefully bring about some awareness of the huge logging that goes on in Tasmania. Almost unnoticed! Maybe, just maybe, people will think twice before they go falling trees of the world heritage area down-under!

With all the deforestation and cruelty to nature Tasmania still holds unparalleled beauty. Breath-taking and mesmerising. If you have not visited Tasmania I strongly recommend you do. Though a part of Australia, Tassie has its unique touch of friendliness, great outdoors and amazing picturesque splendour. Its is addictive, its breath taking - heaven on earth. Hypnotising! The 11 day trip down in Tasmania has left an indelible impression of immense peace and tranquil in me. Hope my photos of Tasmania reflect a bit of joy in you.

About the Pic

Lighthouse at Davenport, Tasmania. The red stripe gives it a great character I think. And the contrast of the fading azure to the soft fluffy couds in the distant to the bright red stripe works magic. I was just staring at this for so long. This is also the port of call for the famous luxory liner ‘Spirit of Tasmania‘ Davenport is one of the larger towns of Tasmania.
