Given the love we have for food and dining out its almost impossible to pass up an opportunity and given we hadn’t seen John, Tanya and Pam in such a long time it was only fitting we caught up nice and proper.

We did pose for a quick snap, unfortunately it was long after dinner and coffee. The Ginger Room, 165 Wycombe Road, Neutral Bay.
Having heard of John’s fervour of The Ginger Room and the succulently prepared mouth exploding flavours, my expectation of experience was nothing less than great presentation and appetising decadent meals. Finally the moment arrived. We caught up with the famous trio — Pam, John and Tanya. Apart from the priceless company of good friends I really have to say that David and I were both pleasantly surprised by the exotic and authentic Thai tastes Ginger Room brought for us that evening. Scrumptious! The Barramundi dish with lemon, herbs and honey took the cake! And of course the Thai beetle-leaf preparation. Thats an almost must have at any good Thai place. I’ll let Tanya and John write about the dishes since this pretty much is their new found secret hideout… but yes the food was truly chef’s very own delectable — very palatable. If you enjoy good food without having to pay a fortune I’d definitely encourage you to try The Ginger Room.
Strangely enough we have passed by this little restaurant gazillion times but mostly in the day when its closed for business. Unfortunately there are no photos to prove how good the presparation was, you’ll have to take my word for it. It sure is a good idea to book in advance, up north shore way we are a bit more prim and prissy
Bon Appetit.
