Top 500 Digital Photobloggers

my PhotoblogI was pleasantly surprised to know that I have been listed in the list of Top 500 Photobloggers worldwide! Wow! I was really swept off my feet. It felt good. a bit profound too :) Mum and Dad are here with me and you know they would get emotional and they did! :) … and Chumki :) now let me tell you this… none of what I am saying is a figment of my imagination :) !

I am humbled at your support and your generosity. I didn’t know that you really like my photography this much. In fact, to be totally honest with you I have not been dedicating much time to my photography lately and photoblogging has been rather slow in the last few months. Part of the reason is because I seem to have temporarily lost interest seeing the unsightly photos people put up and rave on at flickr and other such places. Photography is a form of my expression. It is something I will continue doing as long I feel interested and motivated enough. Photography to me is about self, about my imagination, the way I see the world around me or would like it tobe… it certainly is not about throwing up poor quality images with no rationale. But given that I realise so many of you come visiting my photos that truly ecourages me and I cannot thank you enough. I would redo my photoblog in the coming weeks and put more functionality in place. Thank you so much for your support.

    Congratulations! The rest of us aren’t surprised at all—at least I’m not. I may not be a professional photographer or even a good amatuer, but I know quality when we see it.

    Oh my darling friend I am so proud. The most important thing is you have followed your heart and let your creativity shine through. You are so very talented and a brillant designer but the most wonderful gift you have given me is your love time, encouragement, and support. I am truly blessed to call you my friend.
