Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Looking forward to our little outing tonight.. hopefully a nice meal at the Thai Tha Poh and then onto the cute little Theatre at the Belvoir St Theatre — “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” This would be quite the walk down memory lane for me given I lived all those years in Surry Hills and walk down Belvoir street almost everyday…

The ease of being closer to the city, shopping, more shopping, and the pleasure of inundated outings at anytime and proximity to public transport made my stay at Surry Hills quite fun memorable and extremely spontaneous… I was almost never home. Moving to the Bushland shire, not that I exactly regret living in a big house, would have tamed me a bit but it hasn’t been all that successful. Nothings changed over time… but those years back in Surry were a lot of fun.

Wikipedia doesn’t do justice to Surry in any shape or form but here’s a quick history lesson if you cared or some photos from flickr. Surry still is quite cute and quaint in places but more really a boudoir for the nouveau riche. Nonetheless, Surry is still very memorable for me and I know I’d feel much at home there tonight.
