You can tell we are all having way too much fun when I don’t write or there is so much to write I rather go without. No time for updates (Note to self: “Must keep buffer draft post handy”) and there are php errors on the inner achive pages as Cameron rightly said this arvo — “You are hardly online thesedays”. Hmmm. Besides its the silly season too. But whatever you do don’t miss out on the flickr luvin‘. David, Rish and I had a rather nice evening out last night, ferry to Circular Quay from Mosman followed by cocktail at the Blu Horizons where we met Maxine up in the himmel and then back to planet earth for some wagamama and laughter galore all the way. The ferry back was fun too. Rather choppy drive and a bump or two on South Cremorne wharf and a few handpicked ones along the way but we are very accomodating you know.

So much happening and so little time to update my site. Until then: here are some photos from last night’s plunge at the Horizons Bar overlooking Sydney from the 36th floor and then onto Nick’s band at The Basement. Last night was also the grand finalé of the Australian Idol 2005. It was sheer joy being in such great company, watching the fireworks from the sky, sipping my Malibu sting looking at the fireworks breaking into brilliant colours in the dark night sky and then gently travelling down to the gloriously lit city and the shimmering foreshores … I had decided not to cart my camera along but thanks to kitty kat Lise. Go indulge!
I hear that the WSG meeting was a great success yesterday while I was getting drunk on the dark red mellowed and full bodied Forbidden fruit, and Belgium’s very own abbey beer — Leffe Blonde and emibriating Poulette mussels cooked with white wine, bacon, vegetables at the Heritage Belgian Beer Cafe. Yummmm. Okie I will stop my mouths watering again!! I am so full of my inner man (thats my love for good food btw) . It was such a great great night celebrating Ruth’s birthday and having dinner with her close friends some of whom I meet after almost a year or more… and all that catch up and goss you know… ![]()
And guess what almost everybody asked about Chumki… now isn’t she famous! Think I’ll go quitely but I am a bit jealous now!

Maxine’s flying high in the sky. Up above in the troposphere stratosphere above the clouds and all this humdrum living…far far away — only to be witnessing the majestic totally unparalleled Himalayas peeking through a sea of mystic cloud… I was born and brought up not too far away from the Himalayan ranges myself and have always loved the sumptuous splendid of mountains. It is innate to me. But thats not why I write this entry in fact it is for a quite different reason
This morning I was pleasantly woken up by a rather intersting SMS. Oh Maxine you rock! Already miss you but I know you are gonna have a lot of fun! You go gurl!

Transcript: Sitting in seat 69A. I’m going 2 take this as a good omen ![]()
Friday surely was a very exciting day on two counts. One, I met up my a very old chat friend Danny after having only known him for 6 years and a bit. Wow! and two - I got pulled over and…. The internet is a living breathing space and here is proof again - it can and does transform lives, bring people closer, build bridges and can also help widen friend circle only if one is open enough. So there I was dashing off to Ultimo from St Leonards in peak traffic and then onto Hornsby and then onto dinner and then all the way over the Harbour Bridge to Bondi. Driving down Oxford street, Darlinghurst in the middle of the night on a Friday night dare I say… is not the best experience in the world and just as it should happen Danny and I were having a rather engaging conversation about the population of India and %$#^% I ran a red light!! $#%#@$^ My ephemeral elation of having gone unnoticed came to a precipituous end in the next ten seconds maybe twenty — we got pulled over by the cops. Our very interesting conversation had abruptly disengaged. The music inside the car seemed almost inaudible. My heart was pumping harder than I knew, was tad nervous and I said to Danny well there goes my budgeting for the weekend not that I really do that a lot
There is always retail therapy to be done you know
A couple of weeks back Monica turned 40! We had a blast at her birthday party at Al Mustafa’s on Glebe Point Road. The food, the company, belly dancing… you name it. There were quite a few of us. Well 18 from memory or maybe 19. Thank you Monica for inviting me over, it was lovely to see you and your close friends.
Harry, Kevin and I headed off to Toukley, Central coast on Saturday morning. Despite the threatening cloudy skies and light drizzle around Hornsby it cleared up a lot as we drove along. By the time we reached Canton beach it was a nearly clear sky. Wow what a change but chill as! Even during the day. Harry had booked in a Caravan park. Well, must admit I was NOT impressed! I’ve never stayed in a caravan Park, Eeeww! And dislike the very idea. Well this was a 3 star chalet. Phew! Right at the edge of the beach, Serene. Calm. Overlooking the black swans and huge pelicans drifting by and the sails afloat! Harry was forgiven!
Well almost! I decided to have number 1 cut, well number 2 and a bit more on the top and down to number 1 all the way at the back and the sides. Well that actually did happened last Thursday. Friday was our last work day at ATP otherwise known as Australian Technology Park as we are moving office and start back in St. Leonards were we were about four years back! Most of Thursday and Friday went in packing up our stuff. Exciting! Good news for me though… its easier to get to St Leonards from where I now live than ATP.
