Hate being sick

It takes one to be sick and down with some sort of ailment to realise how most of the time we just dont value good health… Like Ruth said in her entry a few weeks back we too are down with the bug from hell. Constant coughing that pulls your lungs apart, high tempertature and lethargy, difficulty breathing and worst of all, difficulty getting a good night sleep… I feel so incapacitated and there is nothing worse than sitting at home locked up. I hate it!

On to Yarra - Day 1 Part 3

NOTE: Read Part 1 and 2.

The traffic got heavier and slowly most roads started showing a City Link’ or the ‘City’ sign. If we’d lost anchor we’d have headed right back into the city and found our bearings and ventured up the Maroondah highway… with no maps around except for the one Hertz give us which is a one sheet photocopy of a ultra modern roadway that wasn’t to scale and has many roads missing we decided to follow our instincts… while we were trying to get our orientation right and enjoying the semi-residential scantily populated suburbs a car zoomed right past me. The registration number read “QUACK” We giggled! “R-U-D-E-ness” said David…

On to Yarra - Day 1 Part1

Getting up in morning is such a hard thing to do. Especially if its like 5:30am and then shower, makeup and look pretty all day. But we did our best and the cab arrived dot at 6:45am to take us to the airport. Virgin Blue counter looked a bit crowded already but one of the ushers moved us right on to the begining of a counter that had opened up just then. Oh nice! We sauntered up and exchanged greetings. He looked at us and said hello with a smile and said… oh must be the Tennis…(they had the tennis in Melbourne last week) David said nah we going to the wineries.
*pause*

California Road Trip plan part 2

Beach Boys Album coverWith little sleep and a lovely but hot and busy weekend (that wasn’t meant to be a complaint) and apart from starting work a little after half past 6 this morning I am a b-i-t exhausted. *yawns* Y-a-w-n-s again!! Y-A-A-A-W-N! But I am looking forward to meet all you cool cats and can’t wait to discuss the next leg of our to be Death Valley experience! Maxine’s pick for the night Lord Roberts Hotel (in line with leather boots, cowboy hats, guns and rough trade [1, 2]*ahem*) for drinks and then onto Bar Reggio to satisfy our inner man with much amoré. Hey I even bought myself the Beach Boys to get in the mood. Its summer too… What can I say…

Do you believe in luck?

Do you believe in Luck? Well, I don’t but I don’t mind if you do, although I have sometimes found myself using phrases like…. “you lucky thing”, “Oh so lucky!” But they are merely expressions of half-hearted self-centred joyfulness. I neither believe in luck, yeah I said that a second time nor do I advocate anyone reading this… so you are on your own if you read this on Friday the 13th and a missile goes through you head and you die and land in Hell in Devil’s bedroom lying naked next to his warm skin on his fur bed surrounded by the fires of Hell and Devil’s slippery green mossy tail hissing over in slow meandering manouvers over your face? Chances are you’ll never come back to planet Earth to design a Web Standards compliant website nor talk of Web Accessibility or bitch and moan about the shitful IE or even take the micky out of ya mates on Flickr, what a shame — but then you would have Devil’s undivided attention wouldn’t you just and I’m sure he’ll keep you entertained!

Ten-pin bowling tonight!

UPDATE: Oooh there has been a little update to the sequel of emails floating around… hope you keep up with it.

our feet togetherRandwick (your chance to stalk us now) here we come!! The very friendly Josh took our booking over the phone. Thanks for organising this Maxine and David and the rest of us all glam bois and gurls for you will be gracing the occasion in your stilettos and feather chapeaux. Here we come… watch for us… we will be screaming, yelling, ranting and raving and pickin’ on each other down the bar and getting merry on copious amounts of lime topped coronas before we try our hand at rolling the ball down the right alley… given the great mix of bowling virgins and virtuosoes in our group I am expecting sheer excitement and euphoria in our hired shoes(we must wear in order to bowl, eeeew!). me trying to concentrateHope you’ll look out for our flickr fest. No ones been talking about what they are going to wear tonight.. it makes me rather anxious … I must know these things in advance as you know! For security reasons please do not wear nipple clamps in the bowling club! Rest should be easy we are all rather flexible of body and sometimes mind!

Yet another…

Glorious weekend. I should have posted this on the weekend of the 26th November 2005 — but as you know I have a job to keep, a cat to feed, brush, bathe, walk, my inner man to please and a lot more exciting things that are not meant for you unless you are happen in the elite ‘puff’ club of the far north shore and no they are not web related either. Schade! Which also means I cannot tag them with technorati much really. And then I keep thinking to myself should I write about ‘em at all, chances are I’d get stalked like a friend of ours did a few weeks back… and now with the trees from my neighbours gone they could literally peep in and see me sleeping in my birthday suit with a pussy on my new summery sheets, scary!

Maxine and David having a chat at the cocktail bar in shangrila hotel on level 36. Sydney Harbour bridge in the background. You can tell we are all having way too much fun when I don’t write or there is so much to write I rather go without. No time for updates (Note to self: “Must keep buffer draft post handy”) and there are php errors on the inner achive pages as Cameron rightly said this arvo — “You are hardly online thesedays”. Hmmm. Besides its the silly season too. But whatever you do don’t miss out on the flickr luvin‘. David, Rish and I had a rather nice evening out last night, ferry to Circular Quay from Mosman followed by cocktail at the Blu Horizons where we met Maxine up in the himmel and then back to planet earth for some wagamama and laughter galore all the way. The ferry back was fun too. Rather choppy drive and a bump or two on South Cremorne wharf and a few handpicked ones along the way but we are very accomodating you know.

Okie, so am shooting for Tropfest 2006

Heard of Tropfest? The annual short film festival held on a Sunday night in February each year in Sydney. Well, I’ve been offered a short role, to be confirmed hopefully :) . The name of the film is “The Score”. You’ll see more details when the Tropfest 2006 list is up. In the mean time, well if this works out… do wish me luck :)!

The Scene: Well seems like the first scene is me dashing into a bubbly bathtub ;-) …a ‘fantasy role’ of the main character in the movie. Want more? You must watch it in February 2006. :)

Another amazing outing

me doing the cat meowSo much happening and so little time to update my site. Until then: here are some photos from last night’s plunge at the Horizons Bar overlooking Sydney from the 36th floor and then onto Nick’s band at The Basement. Last night was also the grand finalé of the Australian Idol 2005. It was sheer joy being in such great company, watching the fireworks from the sky, sipping my Malibu sting looking at the fireworks breaking into brilliant colours in the dark night sky and then gently travelling down to the gloriously lit city and the shimmering foreshores … I had decided not to cart my camera along but thanks to kitty kat Lise. Go indulge!

What an amazing weekend!

Ruth’s Birthday at The Heritage Belgian Beer Café

a picture of Ruth wearing a cat maskI hear that the WSG meeting was a great success yesterday while I was getting drunk on the dark red mellowed and full bodied Forbidden fruit, and Belgium’s very own abbey beer — Leffe Blonde and emibriating Poulette mussels cooked with white wine, bacon, vegetables at the Heritage Belgian Beer Cafe. Yummmm. Okie I will stop my mouths watering again!! I am so full of my inner man (thats my love for good food btw) . It was such a great great night celebrating Ruth’s birthday and having dinner with her close friends some of whom I meet after almost a year or more… and all that catch up and goss you know… :)
And guess what almost everybody asked about Chumki… now isn’t she famous! Think I’ll go quitely but I am a bit jealous now!

Taxi ride home

I was coming home late at night from Mosman last Tuesday. It was also Melbourne Cup day — the biggest event in Australian racing. Makybe Diva has etched a permanent place in Australian racing history by winning an unprecedented third Emirates Melbourne Cup. Wow, what a supermare!
